About UH Racing
Facilities
UH Racing have the use of extensive facilities at the University of Hertfordshire with a dedicated workshop and Dyno Cell facilities.
UH Racing's workshop contains the facility to service 3 formula student cars with flat floor set-up capabilities to ensure the cars are properly corner weighted before they leave the workshop.
UH Racing also have their own welding facilities and manufacturing area which includes CNC machines, lathe's and many other machines to help with the ease of manufacture and time.
UH Racing also have the use of 4 types of wind tunnels from the University of Hertfordshire to help with the investigation into aerodynamics for its formula student cars.
UH Racing Team Structure
Class 1 Team
The Class 1 Team consists mainly of final year students at the University of Hertfordshire that design, build and compete in a brand new car.
Class 1-200 Team
The Class 1-200 team is made up of first and second year students from the University of Hertfordshire and gives them vital experience of the Formula Student environment as they are given the task of developing the previous years Class 1 car, this year the team will be working on the UH10 car that came 8th overall this year and 3rd UK team.

UH Racing have competed in formula student every year since it began in 1998. Below is a basic illustration of the team’s success over the years.
